Full details of field trips will be given at the preceding indoor meeting. Members unable to attend the indoor meeting should contact the Field Trips Secretary for details, their contact information can be found on the committee page.
We have included mini-bus trips in this programme. The price will be capped at £17 per person and a deposit will be required. On other visits we do encourage members to share cars wherever possible, on a cost-sharing basis.
Please bring warm clothing and boots. Remember to bring binoculars and telescopes (optional) and a field guide. Don’t forget a picnic lunch on the full day trips and light refreshments for other trips.
Our January field trip on 26th is to Attenborough nature reserve in the Trent valley south of Nottingham. It’s a chance to see or more likely hear the booming Bittern which is known to winter there. Meet in the car park or go by train from Matlock direct to Attenborough station.
