Our 2020 season kicks off with a talk from Jeff Blincow entitled ‘Bird Flight on January 13th. After a short look at the evolution of flight, the focus is on the enjoyment of birds in flight.  Birds have many different lifestyles requiring specialist flight skills.  This talk looks at the diverse modes of flight and the expert birds in each field. The fabulous photograph of nearly 50 goldfinches in flight, every one of which at a different stage of flight, was taken by Matlock photographer Ken Smith who gave us a talk last year. Jeff’s talk is bound to be absorbing, entertaining and informative with some great images.
