Yorkshire WT reserve near Market Weighton at the eastern end of the M62. Reclaimed from gravel workings.  Brilliant this year in Spring “even better in Autumn”.  Toilets, café, hides, free admission.

RSPB reserve on the Wirral easily accessed from the M56. Fantastic for waders, avocets, godwits and much more.  New visitor centre with shop, café etc.

RSPB reserve near Leek. Redstarts, pied flycatchers and other woodland birds. Before the leaves and when the migrants have first arrived so birds are easier to see. Toilets.
